I am not an expert on video and audio files. I had a .mov file I needed to convert to an MP3. After looking at other apps that seemed too daunting for me, I tried this app and was pleasantly surprised how easy it was. Im glad I am using it now and would definetly recommend it. Works perfect! Thank you develepers for making and sharing this.

When you convert multiple files, the process screen (that tell you what is the % of the conversion) disappear after the first conversion, but it continue to convert in background. Anyway, this app is a very good app!

Crashes frequently, Waste of my time.

tried to covert a 3 min video and I got errors every time. Did not work at all..

I was trying to find an app that would convert .264 secrutiy footage to .mp4 so I can watch on Mac or put on iPad. This is the only app that does that so far. Awesome stuff :)

This software is terrible. It fails almost every time I try to convert (mostly .mp4 to .mpg) and when it doesnt, it creates a 12b file that doesnt work. Ugh. Dont waste your time.

I only had success when I tried one file at a time with the output folder being my desktop. Other folders didn’t work. Also it crashed a few times. Don’t expect it to work flawlessly but for a free converter it does the job if you have some extra time to dedicate to it.

Can’t get past the first step. It crashes every time I try to add a file to convert. Perhaps it needs upgrading to Yosemite?

Awful. Does not work as expected. Settings revert back to default so no matter what video output format is selected the files output to the lowest quality available. Free = incredibly crippled. Spend the $0.99 on a converter that actually does what it says it’s going to do.

The quality of the output is terrible… starts off fine and then starts to fall apart. USELESS.

Impossible to change settings, doesn’t save any

Had a hard time finding a free app that converts .vob for mac. This one converted my .vob file to mp4 in less than a minute (was a short 6 minute video) and I had it in iMovie a few minutes later. On top of that, it converts the usual file formats and numerous others. Extremely happy!

I was using the SmartConverter free version to convert some videos to .mp4 format and it was decent enough that I bought the full version for $10 thinking it would be better and faster… Well it wasnt any faster and really only thing better was the ability to add videos to a queue. I tried this app and it is much faster than both of the SmartConverter apps. Not a lot of options here but for free its ok, the few files I have converted werent as high quality as the original.

Excellent app, straight to the point, very simple interface. Just what I was looking for. Simplicity! have been looking for something this simple forever. I wish they would add the icons to the formats which will help Identify them much easier, I had to look up what the video codes mean before I chose which format was the one I wanted to convert it to. Still a great app with out that little luxury. Thank you

Tried to convert avi, mkv and flv to: - mpeg 2 video format. "Failure" on each of three input files. - mpeg 1 video format. Worked on all input files. The output file name is automatically generated from the input file name which is good, however, the app does not handle multiple periods in the file name and will truncate the name at the first period.

Video coversions kill all quality. In particular .mkv to .mp4 lost all resoultion and all sound quality. 720p and 1080p turned into 240p. So if quality means anything to you, find another video conversion app.

Literally, SO happy I discovered this. I was able to convert an AVI (full length film) file to an MOV in only a few minutes! This is an excellent quality app and converter! I am very Happy with it!

Went to indoor skydiving place, they gave me a flash drive in .M2V and couldnt open it with iMovie or quicktime,,,, found this app and converted all video to .mp4 uploaded to iMovie without any issues! THANKS,

I tried to input a .mov file from Final Cut Pro X and it gave a message as soon as I loaded it that read “Invalid file,” yet the file showed up in the list. I was able to choose my settings and everything, but when I went to convert it, it would not give me the “new” file. I haven’t really tried any other video formats as input, but I will follow up when I do.

If you are looking for a .mp4 to .mov converter, look elsewhere. Not HD (720x480 is not 720HD - its the second number that counts. 720 HD is 1280x720) Turns High Definition video into pixelated garbage. If you do not plan on using the converted files professionally or in video editing software then this might work to email a video to someone, but if you have a project in mind that needs to look professional, try another app.
